Superplastic

Janky, Guggimon, and Dayzee's Animated Shorts

When you're scrolling through TikTok and Instagram, it’s hard to miss our friends Janky, Guggimon, and Dayzee of SUPERPLASTIC showing up across limited edition vinyl drops, NFTs, video games & more. We had the pleasure of working with SUPERPLASTIC to produce animated content for their virtual influencer's social media accounts.

Early on, we adapted SUPERPLASTIC’s pipeline and improved upon our own specifically for these characters to produce a wide range of content needed each week. Working with the SUPERPLASTIC team requires building and sharing environments, props, custom characters, rigging, animation, effects, and more. Our team may focus on lighting, effects, rendering, and compositing for some content, while other content requires taking SUPERPLASTIC's concepts and seeing them through to final delivery. While some character work is keyframe animation, both teams regularly utilize Xsens and Faceware motion capture systems. All to create a cohesive, chaos-infused universe in which these virtual influencers live.

You may know Superplastic through their Superplastic Gorillaz merch drops or the recent $20M investment by Amazon to create more content around the characters, but we've loved working with these characters in their own unique world.

Apparel Renders

We posed SUPERPLASTIC synthetic celebrities in clothing as a tool for the online Superplastic store. When the brand launches apparel, the unique texture can be composited onto the garment, giving them the ability to scale the online store with as many items as they want.

For the launch of the Superplastic NYC store, we created a set of promo renders for Janky, Guggimon, and Dayzee in front of the store.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
