What's unique about Deep Sky compared to other studios and agencies?

As explorers at our core, we make it our mission to visualize the indescribable, materialize the unimagined, and boldly voyage into the unknown. Because in our experience, potential isn’t something you find. It’s something you create.

For nearly two decades we’ve propelled our clients to new heights with industry-leading animation, motion graphics, product visualization, and live-action production. Our teams are cross-collaborative, providing an end-to-end studio pipeline for our clients.

What's the history of Deep Sky?

We began as a studio that took inspiration from astronomy and storytelling. One that welcomes all artists, checks their ego at the door, and has a fully-supportive work environment. We work with partners just as ambitious as us who share in our pursuit of creating something beautiful together.

Now nearing 20 years, we’re proud to have built an employee-centric culture full of diverse identities that develop impactful characters, build immersive worlds, and tell inspiring stories.

Are you taking on new clients?

Always! We welcome new clients and collaborators who are looking for that stellar studio who's nailed their production pipeline and is a reliable partner. If you have an approved project ready to go, let's talk! If you're looking to get to know us for future collaborations, we love that too. It's possible we may already be an approved vendor for your company (Amazon, Intel or Nike). Just send us an email at hello@deepsky.tv to get a call on the books.

Do you outsource your work to other studios?

We do not. All work is kept in-house to keep our amazing local artists working. That, and clients prefer their projects remain under one roof for both efficiency and their information and files are kept confidential.

I need a music video, but I'm independent. Can you work with my indie budget?

From time to time, we take on music videos from independent artists. However, it often depends on our team’s availability and your timeline. We support indie music, especially if local to the PNW. It’s best to start the conversation with a timeline, target budget, and some creative inspiration.

Can I pitch you my TV series idea?

We work with creators, directors, and talent to help them develop their IP for TV and film. We need to be selective about the projects we work on, so unfortunately, we don't accept unsolicited submissions or unfinanced show pitches.

Do you hire freelancers?

From time to time we'll onboard freelancers. While we keep all work in-house, large projects happen, and we need extra hands on board. Do you offer internships and are they paid?

Yes, we offer internships, generally during the summer. All internships are paid as per Oregon law. Our goal is to train and hire young talented artists to join our amazing team. Since we can only offer 1-2 internships at a time, we are selective, requiring a stellar portfolio showcasing your training and chops.
