We’ve produced a number of technical 360 projects over the years. This particular one we teamed up with Grady Britton to capture the night life in Portland. We utilized several 360 rigs for low light captures and timelapses, this was a particular challenge in 2018 where the hardware was on the cusp of leaping forward in capture quality and stitching multiple cameras together in6k. These days 8k can be captured and exported with very affordable consumer pocket-sized cameras. Hardware aside, there was a lot of technical planning and coordination that went into capturing all the night life locations. From band interviews, performances, and groups of people took time to coordinate and capture. This required planning 360 action around multiple camera placements and not see a film crew. Just as important was keeping all cameras at just above eye level so when VR headsets are worn, you didn’t feel too short or too tall.

After 3 late evenings of filming we spent several weeks exporting hours of stitched sequences, allowing Grady Britton and Travel Portland to sit with our editor and select their favorite scenes. Once the edit was locked we removed camera seams, added 360 motion graphics, color corrected and mixed final audio. While every shot was purposefully placed allowing viewers to look around their environment to feel immersed, stitched shots were rotated to where the key story action is.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
